국제 유가 상승과 고물가 장기화로 가계 부담이 커지는 가운데, 파주시가 시민 생활 안정을 위한 긴급 지원에 나선다. 

시는 정부 정책 방향에 맞춰 ‘고유가 피해지원금’ 지급 준비를 완료하고, 이달 말부터 순차적으로 지급을 시작한다고 밝혔다.

이번 지원금은 소득 수준에 따라 차등 지급되며, 보다 효율적인 집행을 위해 1차와 2차로 나눠 진행된다. 

우선 1차 지급은 오는 4월 27일부터 시작된다. 

기초생활수급자에게는 1인당 55만 원, 차상위계층과 한부모가족에는 45만 원이 각각 지급된다. 

이어 2차 지급은 5월 18일부터 실시되며, 소득 하위 70% 시민을 대상으로 1인당 10만 원이 지원될 예정이다.

신청 방식은 시민 편의를 고려해 온라인과 오프라인 모두 가능하다. 

신용·체크카드로 수령을 원하는 경우 카드사 홈페이지나 모바일 앱, 또는 카드 연계 은행 영업점을 통해 신청할 수 있다. 

지역화폐인 ‘파주페이’로 받으려면 전용 앱이나 주소지 관할 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문하면 된다.

신청 초기 혼잡을 줄이기 위한 ‘요일제’도 시행된다. 

시행 첫 주에는 출생연도 끝자리를 기준으로 요일별 신청이 가능하며, 월요일은 1·6, 화요일은 2·7, 수요일은 3·8, 목요일은 4·9·5·0에 해당하는 시민이 신청할 수 있다. 

금요일부터는 요일 제한 없이 누구나 신청할 수 있다.

시는 특히 디지털 환경에 익숙하지 않은 시민들을 위한 지원도 강화한다. 

읍면동 행정복지센터에 보조 인력을 추가 배치해 현장 접수 대기 시간을 줄이고, 거동이 불편한 시민을 위한 ‘찾아가는 신청 서비스’도 운영할 계획이다. 

아울러 전용 상담 창구를 마련해 지원금과 관련한 문의에 신속히 대응한다는 방침이다.

파주시 관계자는 “이번 지원이 고유가로 어려움을 겪는 시민들에게 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “신청 과정에서 누구도 소외되지 않도록 촘촘한 지원 체계를 운영해 지역 경제 회복에 보탬이 되도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 시는 지급 일정에 맞춰 시스템 점검과 현장 대응 준비를 마친 상태로, 원활한 지원금 집행에 행정력을 집중할 계획이다.
