파주시 금촌2동이 한국외국어대학교와 협력하여 주민들을 위한 세계 인문학 강좌의 문을 열었다.

금촌2동은 지난 3일 행정복지센터에서 일생일대 프로젝트-세계의 오늘을 이해하다 개강식을 개최하고 오는 9월까지 세계시민 역량 강화 교육을 진행한다.

일생일대 프로젝트는 파주시가 읍면동 평생학습센터와 대학을 1대1로 연계해 수준 높은 교육 기회를 주민 생활권 안으로 제공하는 평생교육 사업이다. 

금촌2동은 세계 문화와 문명 연구에 특화된 한국외대와 함께 중국, 일본, 영국, 스페인, 아프리카, 아랍 등 세계 각국의 문화와 핵심 논점을 다루는 특화 과정을 총 10회에 걸쳐 운영한다. 파주시민 60명이 참여하며 수강료는 전액 무료다.

개강 첫 강연자로 나선 강준영 한국외대 국제지역대학원 교수는 미중 전략 경쟁의 이해를 주제로 강단에 섰고 강 교수는 미중 간 대립이 단순한 외교 갈등을 넘어 국제질서의 패러다임 자체를 바꾸는 구조적이고 장기적인 경쟁으로 고착화되고 있다고 진단했다.

특히 패권 경쟁의 구조화와 장기화, 기술 및 산업과 안보가 결합된 복합 전선의 형성, 위험 분산으로의 전략 전환, 중견국을 둘러싼 전략적 줄다리기 심화 등을 핵심 특징으로 제시했으며 강 교수는 전후 80년간 유지되어 온 국제질서가 근본적으로 재편되는 과정에 있음을 강조했다. 

수강생들은 급변하는 국제정세에 대한 심층 분석에 높은 관심을 보이며 강연에 집중했다.

강영도 금촌2동장은 세계정세의 변화에 대한 이해는 지역의 미래 경쟁력과도 직결되는 중요한 요소라며 이번 강좌가 주민들에게 국제 논점을 깊이 이해하고 세계를 읽는 안목을 기르는 뜻깊은 계기가 되길 바란다고 밝혔다.

Geumchon 2-dong in Paju City has opened a world humanities course for its residents in collaboration with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

The students showed keen interest in the in-depth analysis of the rapidly changing international situation and focused intently on the lecture.
