고양도시관리공사가 오는 4월 예정된 BTS 공연을 앞두고, 고양종합운동장 일대에 전기차 화재 예방을 위한 ‘카스토퍼형 화재징후 예측 시스템’을 구축하며 공연장 안전 관리 수준을 한 단계 끌어올렸다.

이번 조치는 대규모 관람객이 몰리는 공연의 특성을 반영해 전기차 화재 위험을 사전에 차단하고, 재난 상황에 대한 선제적 대응 체계를 강화하기 위해 추진됐다. 

시스템은 고양종합운동장을 포함해 인근 체육관 2개소 등 총 3개 구역에 설치되어, 행사 기간 동안 촘촘한 안전망을 구축하게 된다.

해당 시스템의 핵심은 차량 주차 시 하부 상태를 정밀하게 감지하는 기술에 있다.

24시간 실시간 모니터링을 통해 차량 하부의 온도 변화와 이상 징후를 감지하며, 일정 기준 이상 온도가 확인될 경우 화재 발생 이전 단계에서 즉시 싸이렌 경보가 울린다. 

동시에 지정된 안전관리자에게 알림이 전송되어 신속한 초동 대응이 가능하도록 설계됐다.

최근 전기차 화재에 대한 사회적 우려가 커지는 상황에서, 이번 시스템 도입은 다중밀집시설의 안전 확보를 위한 선제적 대응 사례로 평가받고 있다.
