파주시 월롱도서관이 2026년 도서관주간을 맞아 우리 문화유산을 지켜낸 대표 인물 간송 전형필 선생의 삶과 업적을 되돌아보는 특별 강연 ‘천하제일 수집가, 간송 전형필’을 운영한다.

이번 프로그램은 간송 전형필 탄생 120주년을 기념해 마련된 것으로, 문화재 수집과 보존을 통해 민족의 예술적 얼과 자존심을 지켜낸 그의 삶을 통해 공공도서관의 지식 보존 가치를 시민들과 함께 나누기 위해 기획됐다.

강연은 오는 4월 18일과 25일, 오전 10시 30분부터 12시 30분까지 총 2회에 걸쳐 열리며 서울 간송미술관 전시교육팀장인 김영욱 박사가 강연자로 나서 전문적이면서도 생생한 해설을 제공할 예정이다.

1강에서는 ‘한국의 미를 지킨 대수집가’라는 주제로 간송 전형필의 생애와 시대적 배경을 살펴보고, 2강에서는 간송 컬렉션에 담긴 문화사적 의미와 수집 과정의 숨은 이야기를 중심으로 깊이 있는 강연이 이어진다.

이와 함께 도서관은 강연 기간과 맞물려 4월 1일부터 6월 27일까지 연계 전시 ‘문화보국: 문화로 나라를 지키다’를 진행하며 전시에서는 간송미술관 소장 유물의 영인본과 엽서 등이 공개돼 우리 문화유산의 아름다움과 가치를 시민들이 직접 체험할 수 있도록 구성됐다.

Paju City Wolong Library Organizes Special Lecture on Gansong Jeon Hyeong-pil

In celebration of Library Week 2026, Paju City Wolong Library is hosting a special lecture titled "The World's Greatest Collector, Gansong Jeon Hyeong-pil," which looks back on the life and achievements of Gansong Jeon Hyeong-pil, a representative figure who protected our cultural heritage.

This program was organized to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Gansong Jeon Hyeong-pil's birth. It was designed to share with citizens the value of knowledge preservation in public libraries through the life of a man who safeguarded the nation's artistic spirit and pride through the collection and preservation of cultural artifacts.

The lecture will be held twice, on April 18 and 25, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
