고양특례시 주엽2동은 지난 13일 청사 주변 화단에 페튜니아 500본을 식재했다.

이번 초화 식재는 봄철 환경 정비와 고양국제꽃박람회 연계 활동의 일환으로 진행됐으며 청사를 방문하는 주민들에게 쾌적하고 아름다운 환경을 제공하려는 취지다.

이날 행사에는 주엽2동 새마을부녀회 회원 10여 명과 동 직원들이 참여했으며 이들은 화단을 정비하고 형형색색의 페튜니아를 정성껏 심어 청사 주변에 화사한 활기를 불어넣었다.

이정권 새마을부녀회장은 주민들이 심어진 꽃을 보며 따뜻한 봄기운을 느끼고 일상 속에서 잠시나마 여유를 가질 수 있기를 바란다고 전했다.
