경기북부 지역에서 독립유공자 후손을 향한 따뜻한 보훈 행정이 이어졌다. 

경기북부보훈지청은 제107주년 대한민국 임시정부 수립 기념일을 앞두고 지난 4월 2일과 7일, 독립유공자 후손들의 자택을 직접 찾아 위문 활동을 펼쳤다.

이번 방문은 조국 독립을 위해 헌신한 애국지사들의 숭고한 희생을 기리고, 그 정신을 이어가는 후손들에게 감사의 뜻을 전하기 위해 마련됐다. 

현장에서는 단순한 위문품 전달을 넘어, 보훈 가족 한 사람 한 사람의 삶에 귀 기울이는 ‘현장 중심 행정’이 실천됐다.

박용주 지청장은 대한민국 임시정부의 핵심 인물이었던 이시영 선생과, 무장 독립운동을 이끈 지청천 장군의 후손을 직접 만나 예우를 갖췄다.

이시영 선생은 신민회 조직과 신흥강습소 설립을 주도하고 임시정부에서 법무·재무총장을 역임한 인물로, 건국훈장 대한민국장을 받았다.

지청천 장군 역시 대한의용군 여단장과 한국독립군, 광복군 총사령관을 지내며 무장투쟁을 이끈 공로로 건국훈장 대통령장을 수훈했다.

박 지청장은 고령의 유족들의 건강 상태를 세심히 살피고 생활 속 불편과 애로사항을 청취하며, 보훈 가족이 체감할 수 있는 지원 방안을 모색하는 데 집중했다.
