경기북부보훈지청은 지난 23일 한국전력공사 남양주지사 임직원들이 마련한 국가유공자 위문품 전달식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 전달식은 6월 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 국가유공자들의 헌신과 희생에 감사의 뜻을 전하고, 본격적인 여름철 무더위를 앞두고 보훈가족들이 건강하고 안전하게 여름을 보낼 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

한국전력공사 남양주지사는 이날 120만 원 상당의 선풍기 20대를 후원했으며, 해당 물품은 남양주 지역에 거주하는 국가유공자 및 보훈가족 가정에 순차적으로 전달될 예정이다.

이성식 한국전력공사 남양주지사장은 “국가를 위해 헌신하신 국가유공자분들께 깊은 존경과 감사의 말씀을 드린다”며 “작은 정성이지만 어르신들이 무더운 여름을 안전하고 시원하게 보내시는 데 도움이 되길 바란다. 앞으로도 지역사회와 상생하는 나눔 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
