경기북부보훈지청이 6월 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 국가유공자에 대한 예우 강화와 복지 향상을 위한 소통 행보에 나섰다.

경기북부보훈지청은 지난 4일 경기북부지역 상이군경회 관계자들과 간담회를 개최하고 국가유공자의 권익 증진과 복지 향상을 위한 다양한 의견을 청취했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회에는 김현제 대한민국상이군경회 경기도지부장을 비롯해 의정부시, 양주시 등 경기북부 11개 시·군 지회장과 관계자들이 참석했다.

참석자들은 6월 호국보훈의 달 주요 정책과 행사 계획을 공유하고, 국가유공자 지원 확대를 위한 다양한 방안을 논의했다.

특히 상이군경회 관계자들은 현장에서 겪고 있는 애로사항과 건의사항을 전달하며 국가유공자에 대한 사회적 예우 확대와 실질적인 지원책 마련의 필요성을 강조했다. 

또한 회원들의 복지 증진과 생활 안정 지원을 위한 의견도 폭넓게 제시했다.

경기북부보훈지청은 이번 간담회를 통해 보훈가족들의 목소리를 직접 청취하고, 향후 정책과 사업 추진 과정에 적극 반영할 계획이다.

박용주 경기북부보훈지청장은 “호국보훈의 달은 국가를 위해 헌신하신 분들의 숭고한 희생정신을 되새기는 뜻깊은 기간”이라며 “상이군경회를 비롯한 보훈단체와 지속적으로 소통해 국가유공자의 권익 향상과 예우 강화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 경기북부보훈지청은 6월 호국보훈의 달 동안 현충일 추념식을 비롯해 국가유공자 위문, 보훈문화 행사 등 다양한 사업을 추진할 예정이다.
