이동환 국민의힘 고양시장 후보가 지역 축산업의 위기 극복과 미래 경쟁력 강화를 위한 현장 행보에 나섰다.

이동환 후보는 28일 오전 고양축산농협 본점을 방문해 축산업계 관계자들과 간담회를 갖고 지역 축산농가의 애로사항을 청취했다. 

이번 간담회는 최근 사료 가격 상승과 급격한 도시화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 축산업 현장의 목소리를 직접 듣고 실질적인 지원 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 간담회에서 축협 관계자들은 사료비 급등에 따른 농가 경영 악화와 축산 기반 축소 문제를 설명하며, 축협의 숙원 사업인 본점 이전과 노후화된 사료공장 개선 사업에 대한 시 차원의 적극적인 행정 지원과 협조를 요청했다.

특히 축산업계는 생산 효율성과 경쟁력 강화를 위해 사료공장 현대화가 시급하다고 강조하며, 지속 가능한 축산 환경 조성을 위한 정책적 지원 필요성을 전달했다.

간담회를 마친 이동환 후보는 곧바로 인근 거리로 이동해 시민들과 직접 소통하는 민생 행보를 이어갔다.

이 후보는 거리에서 노점을 운영하는 한 어르신을 찾아 손을 맞잡고 생활의 어려움과 현장의 목소리를 경청했다.

이동환 후보는 “서민 경제가 살아나는 고양시를 만들기 위해 더욱 현장 중심의 정책을 추진하겠다”며 시민들에게 지지를 호소했다.
