국민의힘 정형배 경기도의원 후보(고양시 제8선거구)가 공식 선거운동 3일 차를 맞아 풍산동 숲속마을 사거리에서 대규모 합동 유세를 펼치며 본격적인 표심 공략에 나섰다.

이날 유세에는 정형배 후보와 함께 손동숙 고양시의원 후보(2-나 / 아 선거구)가 참석해 지역 주민들과 직접 소통하며 고양시 발전을 위한 비전과 정책 방향을 설명했다. 

현장에는 국민의힘 고양병 김종혁 당협위원장과 정 후보의 후원회장을 맡고 있는 김필례 전 국민의힘 고양을 당협위원장, 세계적인 리더십 이론가인 케네스 맥스웰 낸스(Kenneth Maxwell Nance) 박사 등이 함께해 두 후보에 대한 지지를 호소했다.

지원 유세에 나선 인사들은 “지역 현안을 누구보다 잘 이해하고 추진력과 전문성을 갖춘 정형배 후보가 경기도의회에 입성해야 고양시 주요 현안들이 속도감 있게 추진될 수 있다”며 주민들의 지지를 당부했다.

정형배 후보는 연설을 통해 “이번 선거는 무너진 민생을 회복하고 시민들의 진정한 목소리를 대변할 인물을 선택하는 중요한 선거”라며 “더 낮은 자세로 시민들의 의견에 귀 기울이고, 말보다 행동과 결과로 평가받는 정치를 실천하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이어 “고양시민의 정당한 권리를 바로 세우고 지역의 균형 있는 발전을 이루기 위해 선거운동 마지막 날까지 시민 곁에서 발로 뛰겠다”고 강조했다.

정 후보는 이날 풍산동 발전을 위한 핵심 공약도 발표했다. 

주요 공약으로는 풍산동 체육관 건립과 골목상권 활성화 및 소상공인 지원 확대를 비롯해, 아이들과 함께 걷고 싶은 풍동천 조성, 생활밀착형 의료·문화 인프라 강화 등이 포함됐다.

또 GTX 대곡역 환승 교통망 개선 추진과 주차 공간 확보, 보행 안전 환경 개선 등 교통·안전 분야 대책과 함께 주민 체감도가 높은 단계별 생활개선 사업 추진 계획도 제시했다.

정 후보는 “골목길의 작은 불편함부터 일산의 미래 비전까지 모든 답은 주민들의 삶 속에 있다”며 “‘새로운 일산’, ‘기회의 땅 고양’을 시민들과 함께 반드시 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 정형배 후보는 장항1동과 장항2동, 정발산동, 풍산동 등을 중심으로 주민 밀착형 현장 유세와 지역 맞춤형 정책 행보를 이어가며 유권자들과의 접점을 넓혀가고 있다.
