파주시 금촌전통시장 내 건물에서 발생한 화재가 소방당국의 신속한 대응으로 50여 분 만에 진화되면서 인근 점포로의 연소 확대를 막았다.

파주소방서에 따르면 지난 17일 오후 10시 34분께 파주시 금촌동 금촌전통시장 내 3층 건물에서 원인을 알 수 없는 화재가 발생했으며 당시 "시장 안에서 연기와 불길이 보인다"는 주민 신고를 접수한 소방당국은 즉시 현장으로 출동해 화재 진압과 인명 구조 활동에 착수했다.
