파주시 조리도서관이 국립장애인도서관이 추진하는 '2026년 장애인 독서문화 지원사업' 공모에 선정돼 봉일천고등학교 특수학급 학생들을 위한 독서문화 프로그램 '손끝으로'를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 문화시설 접근성이 상대적으로 낮은 조리 지역의 문화 격차를 줄이고, 발달장애 청소년들에게 독서와 공연예술을 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐으며 참여 학생들은 그림책을 매개로 자신을 표현하고 공연을 완성하는 과정을 경험하며 문화예술 활동의 즐거움을 함께 나누게 된다.

프로그램의 중심 도서는 유설화 작가의 그림책 「슈퍼거북」이며 참가자들은 작품을 함께 읽으며 이야기의 의미를 이해하고 등장인물과 자신의 삶을 연결해 보는 시간을 갖는 등 문학을 통한 공감과 자기 발견의 기회를 경험할 예정이다.

운영 기간은 7월 15일부터 10월 23일까지이며 모두 11회에 걸쳐 진행되며 조리도서관 사서와 연극공동체 '가까이'가 함께 참여해 장애 청소년의 눈높이에 맞춘 체험형 교육을 진행하고 프로그램은 도서관 이용 방법 익히기를 시작으로 그림책 낭독과 이야기 이해, 공연예술박물관 탐방, 공연 대본 구성, 신체 표현 활동 등 단계별 과정으로 구성된다.
