(재)파주시청소년재단 금촌청소년문화의집은 지난 4일부터 5일까지 이틀간 몽골 청소년과 파주 지역 청소년이 함께하는 국제교류 프로그램 ‘청소년, 세계를 잇다 : Youth Bridge’를 운영하며 문화 교류와 세계시민 역량 강화의 장을 마련했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램에는 뉴엠원격평생교육원 소속 몽골 청소년을 비롯해 동패중학교, 문산동중학교, 지산고등학교 학생, 금촌청소년문화의집 국제교류서포터즈 ‘커넥터즈’ 등 약 40명이 참여해 다양한 체험활동을 함께했다.

첫날 참가 청소년들은 국제교류서포터즈가 직접 기획하고 진행한 전통문화 체험 프로그램에 참여했으며 제기차기와 윷놀이, 투호 등 한국의 대표적인 전통놀이를 함께 즐기며 자연스럽게 교류하고 서로의 문화를 이해하는 시간을 가졌으며, 또래 간 소통과 협력을 통해 친밀감을 높였고 이어 임진각과 DMZ 일원에서는 도슨트 해설과 함께 역사 탐방을 진행했다.

참가자들은 분단의 현장을 직접 둘러보며 한반도의 역사와 평화의 가치를 이해하는 뜻깊은 시간을 보내는 등 파주의 역사·문화 자원을 활용한 교육 프로그램을 경험했으며 둘째 날에는 원마운트 워터파크에서 팀별 미션과 물놀이 프로그램이 이어졌다.

한국과 몽골 청소년들은 다양한 활동을 함께 수행하며 언어와 문화의 차이를 넘어 협력과 우정을 나누는 시간을 갖고 국제교류 프로그램을 마무리했다.

Paju and Mongolian Youth Build Friendship Through Traditional Games and DMZ Experiences

The Geumchon Youth Culture Center of the Paju City Youth Foundation announced that it organized the international exchange program "Youth, Connecting the World: Youth Bridge" for two days from the 4th to the 5th, bringing together Mongolian and Paju youth to provide a venue for cultural exchange and the strengthening of global citizenship capabilities.
