고양특례시가 본격적인 여름철을 맞아 시민들이 안심하고 물놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 물놀이형 수경시설에 대한 집중 안전점검을 실시한다.

시는 이달부터 9월까지 두 달간 관내 물놀이형 수경시설의 관리 실태를 집중 점검한다고 6일 밝혔다.

물놀이형 수경시설은 수돗물이나 지하수 등을 인위적으로 순환시켜 운영하는 바닥분수와 인공 실개천, 아파트 단지 내 물놀이시설 등으로, 이용자의 신체에 물이 직접 닿는 만큼 철저한 위생 및 안전관리가 요구되는 시설이다.

이번 점검 대상은 관내 아파트 단지 내 조합놀이대 물놀이장과 공원 바닥분수 등 총 50개소다. 

다만 「체육시설의 설치·이용에 관한 법률」과 「관광진흥법」에 따라 별도로 관리되는 일반 수영장과 워터 에어바운스 등은 점검 대상에서 제외된다.

시는 어린이 안전사고 예방과 감염병 차단을 위해 수심과 수질, 시설 위생관리 전반을 중점적으로 확인할 계획이다. 

주요 점검 항목은 어린이 익사사고 예방을 위한 수심 30㎝ 이하 유지 여부를 비롯해 수소이온농도(pH), 탁도, 대장균, 유리잔류염소 등 수질 기준 충족 여부다.

또한 저류조 청소 상태와 용수의 주기적인 교체 여부, 미신고 시설 운영 여부 등 시설 관리 실태도 함께 점검한다.

점검 결과 관리 기준을 위반한 시설에 대해서는 즉시 운영을 중단하는 등 강력한 행정조치가 이뤄질 예정이다.

수질이나 위생 기준을 충족하지 못한 시설은 소독과 청소, 용수 교체를 완료한 뒤 수질 기준을 다시 만족해야만 재개방이 가능하다.

아울러 시는 시설 관리자에게 조치이행 관리카드 제출을 요구하는 등 사후 모니터링을 강화해 동일한 문제가 재발하지 않도록 지속적으로 관리할 방침이다.
