고양특례시가 시민들의 주거 취약 문제를 현장에서 직접 상담하고 맞춤형 복지 서비스를 제공하는 '찾아가는 주거복지 이동상담소' 운영을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 3일 밝혔다.

고양시주거복지센터가 주관한 이번 이동상담소는 복잡한 주거복지 제도와 각종 지원사업을 시민들이 보다 쉽고 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 돕기 위해 마련됐다. 

상담은 지난 6월 18일부터 7월 1일까지 유동인구가 많은 공원과 동 행정복지센터 등 주민 생활권을 중심으로 진행됐다.

이동상담소는 정발산동, 효자동, 행신3·4동, 주엽1동, 마두1동 등 주요 임대주택이 위치하거나 주민 왕래가 많은 지역을 찾아 운영됐다. 

특히 고양시주거복지센터를 비롯해 한국부동산원 고양지사, 각 동 행정복지센터, 복지관, 보건소 등 다양한 유관기관이 함께 참여해 기관 간 협력을 기반으로 한 통합 상담 서비스를 제공했다.

상담은 단순한 주거복지 제도 안내를 넘어 주거·복지·건강 분야를 아우르는 맞춤형 서비스로 진행돼 시민들의 호응을 얻었다. 

기관별 전문성을 연계한 원스톱 상담 체계를 구축함으로써 주민들이 필요한 정보를 한자리에서 제공받을 수 있도록 지원했다.

운영 기간에는 본인의 지원 자격을 확인하려는 상담뿐 아니라 가족이나 지인의 임대주택 입주 가능 여부를 문의하는 사례도 많았다.

상담소는 공공임대주택 등 다양한 임대주택 유형별 지원 조건을 안내하고, 상담 대상자의 상황에 맞는 주거 지원 방안을 제시하는 등 심층적인 맞춤 상담을 실시했다.

아울러 주거복지 관련 기관의 역할과 서비스를 소개하고, 임대차분쟁조정위원회의 기능을 안내하는 홍보 활동도 함께 진행해 시민들의 주거복지 제도에 대한 이해를 높였다.

고양시 관계자는 "주민들이 자주 찾는 공원이나 행정복지센터로 직접 찾아감으로써 주거복지 서비스의 문턱을 한층 낮출 수 있었다"며 "앞으로도 시민들의 실질적인 주거 안정을 위해 현장 중심의 소통 행정을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다"고 말했다.

한편 고양특례시는 이번 상반기 이동상담소 운영 성과를 바탕으로 오는 9월 행주동과 장항2동 등에서 '찾아가는 주거복지 이동상담소'를 다시 운영하며 주거 취약계층을 위한 현장 밀착형 지원을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
