경기도파주교육지원청은 지난 6월 30일 정목고등학교 비전홀과 7월 2일 세경고등학교 중강당에서 중학교 3학년 부장교사와 담임교사 등 140여 명을 대상으로 ‘2026 직업계고 가치재발견 및 특성화학과 설명회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 설명회는 직업계고에 대한 이해를 높이고 학생 개개인의 적성과 진로에 맞는 진학지도가 이뤄질 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐으며, 파주지역 직업계고의 교육 경쟁력과 특성화 교육과정을 공유하는 자리로 진행됐다.

행사에는 광탄고등학교와 문산수억고등학교, 문산제일고등학교, 세경고등학교, 적성융합고등학교, 정목고등학교 등 지역 내 6개 직업계고가 참여해 학교별 교육과정과 특성화 분야를 비롯해 산학협력 프로그램, 취업 연계 과정, 학교별 교육 강점 등을 소개했으며 또한 참석한 교사들은 각 학교의 교육 방향과 진로·취업 지원 체계에 대한 설명을 듣고 학생들의 진학 상담과 진로 설계에 활용할 수 있는 다양한 정보를 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.

전선아 교육장은 “학생들이 자신의 적성과 소질을 바탕으로 미래 사회가 요구하는 역량을 키워갈 수 있도록 다양한 진로 선택을 존중하고 적극 지원하는 것이 중요하다”며 “학생들이 파주에서 배우고 성장하며 지역과 함께 미래를 설계하는 지역 정주형 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 교육지원청도 지속적으로 지원을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
