한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부는 지난 25일 경기도 의정부시 웨딩더낙원에서 경제적 어려움 등으로 결혼식을 올리지 못한 보호대상자 부부 4쌍을 위한 '제20회 아름다운동행 합동결혼식'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

올해로 20회를 맞은 이번 합동결혼식은 보호대상자 부부가 새로운 출발을 통해 모범적인 가정을 이루고, 안정적인 사회 복귀와 가족공동체의 소중한 가치를 되새길 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

이번 행사는 한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부가 주최했으며, 영산조용기재단의 지원 아래 의정부지방검찰청, 의정부시, 웨딩더낙원, 법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부협의회(회장 김명달)가 후원에 참여해 의미를 더했다.

이날 행사에는 문현철 의정부지방검찰청 검사장을 비롯한 법무유관기관 관계자와 김동근 의정부시장, 박지혜 국회의원(의정부갑), 김명달 법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부협의회 회장 및 법무보호위원, 가족과 하객 등 120여 명이 참석해 새 출발을 축하했다.

행사에서는 지역사회의 따뜻한 나눔도 이어졌다. 

참석 기관과 후원자들은 신랑·신부들의 안정적인 자립과 행복한 가정생활을 응원하는 마음을 담아 축의금과 이불 세트 등 다양한 축의 물품을 전달했다.

권영호 경기북부지부장은 격려사를 통해 "오늘 결혼식을 올린 부부들이 서로에게 든든한 버팀목이 되는 관계로 성장하길 바란다"며 "앞으로도 서로를 아끼고 사랑하며 사회의 일원으로서 건설적이고 행복한 가정을 꾸려나가기를 진심으로 응원한다"고 말했다.

한편 한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부는 합동결혼식 지원을 비롯해 숙식 제공, 취업 지원, 주거 지원 등 대상자별 맞춤형 법무보호서비스를 지속적으로 운영하고 있다. 

이를 통해 보호대상자의 재범 방지와 성공적인 사회 복귀를 지원하며, 지역사회 안전과 건강한 공동체 조성에 힘쓰고 있다.
