파주시의회는 지난 23일 의회 1층 세미나실에서 중국 절강재경동방대학 관계자와 국내 복지기관 관계자들을 초청해 교육·복지 분야 협력 방안을 논의하는 간담회를 개최했다.

이날 간담회에는 이정은 의원과 목진혁 의원을 비롯해 동옥령 절강재경동방대학 운영위원회 위원장, 조성심 한국다문화복지협회 파주공유학교 교감 등 총 13명이 참석해 양국 간 교류 확대와 협력 방안에 대한 의견을 나눴다.

참석자들은 교육과 복지 분야에서 상호 협력할 수 있는 다양한 가능성을 살펴보고 지역사회 발전에 기여할 수 있는 실질적인 협력 모델 구축 방안에 대해 논의했으며 또한 지속 가능한 교류 체계 마련과 인적 네트워크 확대의 중요성에 공감하며, 기관 간 협력을 통해 공동 발전을 도모할 수 있는 방안에 대해서도 폭넓은 의견을 교환했다.

간담회에서는 지역 특성을 반영한 교육 프로그램 교류와 복지 분야 협력 사례 공유 등 다양한 협력 과제가 제시됐으며, 양측은 향후 지속적인 소통을 통해 교류 기반을 확대해 나가기로 뜻을 모았다.

이정은 의원은 “이번 만남이 파주시와 중국 항주시 간 상호 이해를 높이고 미래지향적인 협력 관계를 구축하는 출발점이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 분야에서 활발한 교류와 협력을 이어가며 상생 발전의 기반을 마련해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
