고양의 대표 역사인 행주대첩이 웅장한 창작 뮤지컬로 재탄생해 시민들과 만난다.

경기도와 고양특례시의 지원을 받아 제작된 창작 뮤지컬 ‘행주대첩’이 오는 14일 오후 7시 행주산성 역사공원 야외무대에서 막을 올린다.

이번 공연은 (사)한국연극협회 고양지부가 주관하고 극단 씨네라마가 제작을 맡아 고양시의 대표적인 역사 자산인 행주대첩을 현대적인 공연예술로 재해석했다.

뮤지컬 ‘행주대첩’은 임진왜란 당시 권율 장군이 이끈 행주대첩의 역사적 순간을 배경으로, 백성과 군사가 하나 되어 나라를 지켜낸 감동적인 이야기를 담아낸 작품이다. 

특히 현대인 주인공 ‘마루’가 과거로 시간여행을 떠나는 타임슬립(Time-slip) 설정을 도입해 관객들이 자연스럽게 1593년 행주산성 전투 현장으로 들어가도록 구성했다.

작품은 대사 없이 음악과 노래만으로 이야기를 전개하는 ‘쏭쓰루(Sung-through)’ 형식을 채택해 높은 몰입감을 선사한다. 

풍성한 음악과 역동적인 무대 연출을 통해 역사적 사건의 긴장감과 감동을 생생하게 전달할 예정이다.

제작진 또한 국내 정상급 인사들로 구성됐다. 

극작은 양수근 작가가 맡았으며, 작곡은 김미란 작곡가가 담당했다. 

연출은 신택기 연출가가 맡았고, 안무는 2026 백상예술대상 뮤지컬 부문 안무상을 수상한 서병구 안무가가 참여해 작품의 완성도를 높였다.

뮤지컬 배우 홍경수가 권율 장군 역을 맡아 강렬한 카리스마를 선보이며, 인기 예능 프로그램 ‘현역가왕’ 출신 가수 이승국이 바우 역으로 출연해 색다른 매력을 더한다. 

이 밖에도 20여 명의 전문 뮤지컬 배우들이 함께 무대에 올라 역동적인 군무와 웅장한 장면을 선사할 예정이다.

이번 공연은 야외 본공연과 실내 공연으로 나뉘어 진행된다.

 오는 14일 행주산성 역사공원에서 열리는 야외 공연은 실제 행주산성을 배경으로 펼쳐져 역사 현장의 생생한 분위기와 압도적인 현장감을 느낄 수 있다.

이어 18일 오후 7시 30분에는 고양어울림누리 별모래극장에서 ‘해설이 있는 뮤지컬’ 형식의 실내 공연이 열린다. 

실내 공연은 전석 무료로 운영되며, 관람을 희망하는 시민은 (사)한국연극협회 고양지부에 문자로 사전 예약을 신청하면 된다.
