한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부가 법무보호대상자의 안정적인 사회 정착과 경제적 자립을 지원하기 위해 지역 기업과 협력 체계를 구축했다.

경기북부지부는 지난 9일 지역 기업인 성희만두와 법무보호대상자 취업 지원 및 자립 기반 마련을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약식에는 권영호 경기북부지부장과 윤성희 성희만두 대표를 비롯한 양 기관 관계자들이 참석해 보호대상자의 성공적인 사회 복귀를 위한 상호 협력 방안을 논의했다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 법무보호대상자들에게 실질적인 취업 기회를 제공하고, 안정적인 일자리 연계를 통해 경제적 자립을 지원하는 데 힘을 모으기로 했다. 

특히 한국법무보호복지공단의 대표 고용지원 사업인 ‘허그(HUG) 일자리 지원 프로그램’ 참여자들을 대상으로 취업 연계를 확대하고, 맞춤형 취업 알선 서비스를 강화할 계획이다.

윤성희 대표는 “법무보호대상자들이 사회적 편견을 극복하고 건강한 사회 구성원으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 돕는 것이 지역사회 기업의 역할이라고 생각한다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 성장하며 이들의 새로운 출발을 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

권영호 지부장은 “안정적인 일자리는 법무보호대상자의 재범 방지와 성공적인 사회복귀를 위한 가장 중요한 기반”이라며 “지역 기업들과의 협력을 지속적으로 확대해 보호대상자들이 희망을 갖고 자립할 수 있는 환경을 만들어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
