파주시 문산도서관이 문화체육관광부·한국문화예술위원회가 추진하는 '2026년 길 위의 인문학' 공모에 뽑혔다.

'길 위의 인문학'은 도서관·박물관 등 전국 생활문화시설을 거점으로 삼아 일반 시민이 인문학을 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 국가가 지원하는 사업이며 매년 공모를 통해 운영 기관을 선발한다.

문산도서관은 '돌보는 자들의 지구-에코페미니즘·생태·돌봄의 인문학'이라는 제목 아래 강연, 현장 탐방, 토론을 결합한 강좌를 꾸리며 기후 위기라는 지역 현안을 젠더 평등·돌봄 윤리·공동체 복원이라는 세 축으로 풀어내고, 참가자들이 실생활의 변화로 연결할 수 있도록 커리큘럼을 짠 점이 심사에서 높은 점수를 받았다.

운영 시기는 8월부터 10월까지이며, '문화가 있는 날'인 매주 수요일 저녁 총 10회 열린다.

참여자 모집은 7월 중 시작되고, 세부 일정과 신청 방법은 문산도서관 누리집에 별도 공지된다.

이인숙 문산도서관장은 "기후 위기 앞에서 막연한 두려움을 품고 있는 시민들이 인문학이라는 렌즈로 서로의 이야기를 나누고 새로운 관점을 발견하는 자리가 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

Paju Munsan Library has been selected for the '2026 Humanities on the Road' program, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Council Korea.

'Humanities on the Road' is a government-supported initiative that utilizes community cultural facilities nationwide, such as libraries and museums, as bases to enable ordinary citizens to easily access the humanities; operating institutions are selected annually through a public competition. Munsan Library received high marks in the evaluation for organizing a course titled "The Earth of the Caregivers: Humanities of Ecofeminism, Ecology, and Care." The program combines lectures, field trips, and discussions to address the local issue of the climate crisis through three axes—gender equality, care ethics, and community restoration—and for structuring the curriculum to enable participants to translate these experiences into real-life changes.

The program will run from August to October, consisting of a total of 10 sessions held every Wednesday evening on "Culture Day." Registration for participants will begin in July, and detailed schedules and application methods will be announced separately on the Munsan Library website.
