파주시새마을회가 정성껏 담근 햇김치를 지역 내 취약계층에 전달하며 따뜻한 나눔을 실천했다.

파주시새마을회는 지난 5일 탄현면 통일동산 공영주차장에서 ‘사랑의 햇김치 담그기’ 행사를 개최하고, 직접 담근 김치 1,500상자를 지역 내 어려운 이웃들에게 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 김명자 파주시새마을회장을 비롯한 각 읍면동 새마을회원들과 코오롱글로벌㈜ 스포렉스, 파주시 공공하수처리시설 ‘맑은물 지킴이 봉사단’ 등 지역 기업 및 단체 관계자 등 약 300명이 참여했다. 

참가자들은 이른 아침부터 정성껏 햇김치를 담그며 이웃사랑 실천에 구슬땀을 흘렸다.

이날 마련된 햇김치 1,500상자는 독거노인과 소년소녀가장, 장애인 가정, 다문화가정 등 지역 내 취약계층 가구에 전달됐다.

파주시장애인연합회를 비롯한 지역 기관과 단체들은 “입맛을 잃기 쉬운 시기에 정성이 담긴 김치를 선물받아 큰 힘이 된다”며 감사의 마음을 전했다.
