파주경찰서와 코오롱글로벌 스포렉스가 지난1일 위기청소년 보호를 위한 업무협약을 맺었다.

파주경찰서는 지역 내 위기청소년에 대한 맞춤형 지원 체계를 마련하기 위해 코오롱글로벌 스포렉스와 협력 체계를 구축했다.

이번 협약은 경찰과 민간이 손잡고 청소년의 여가 활동을 넓히고 스포츠를 통한 선도·보호 기능을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

양 기관은 학교전담경찰관(SPO)의 상담·보호 활동, 청소년 선도 프로그램 운영, 위기청소년 체육 지원, 건전한 스포츠 문화 형성 등 네 가지 분야에서 손을 맞잡기로 했다.

구체적인 방식은 파주경찰서가 위기청소년을 직접 면담해 지원이 필요한 대상자를 선별하면, 스포렉스는 경찰과의 공동심의회를 통해 지원이 결정된 청소년들에게 파주 관내 6개 시설에서 수영·GX·헬스 등 체육 프로그램을 무료로 제공한다.

이 같은 방식은 운동을 통해 스트레스를 풀고 공동체 활동 속에서 성취감을 쌓도록 이끌어, 비행과 범죄를 사전에 차단하려는 취지다.
