경기도재향군인회가 연평도 안보수련원에서 시·군 회장단을 대상으로 안보현장 교육을 실시하며 회원들의 안보의식 제고와 현장 중심 활동 확대에 본격 나섰다.

이번 교육은 1박 2일 일정으로 진행됐으며, 강명원 경기도재향군인회장과 사무처 간부, 각 시·군 회장 등 30여 명이 참석했다.

참가자들은 서해 최전방인 연평도의 주요 안보 현장을 직접 방문해 국가안보의 중요성을 몸소 체감했다.

교육은 안보현장 견학과 평화안보 특강으로 구성됐다. 

참가자들은 안보교육장과 평화공원, 고(故) 서정우 하사 산화 지점 등 역사적 의미를 지닌 시설을 차례로 둘러보며 안보의 실제적 의미를 되새겼다. 

전문 강사진의 현장 해설이 더해지면서 단순 견학을 넘어선 심층 교육 효과를 거뒀다는 평가다.

경기도재향군인회는 이번 교육이 이론에 그치지 않고 실제 안보 현장을 체험하는 실천형 프로그램이라는 점에 특별한 의미를 부여하고 있다. 

참가자들 역시 현장을 직접 경험하며 향군 구성원으로서의 역할과 사명을 재확인하는 계기가 됐다고 입을 모았다.

강명원 회장은 "이번 교육은 회원들이 국가안보의 중요성을 몸소 느끼고 지역사회 안보의식을 확산하는 데 큰 의미가 있다"며 "앞으로도 다양한 현장 중심 안보활동과 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

경기도재향군인회는 앞으로도 회원 안보 역량 강화와 지역사회 공익활동 확대를 목표로 실천형 교육과 현장 활동을 이어갈 방침이다.

The training took place over a two-day, one-night schedule and was attended by approximately 30 people, including Gyeonggi Veterans Association President Kang Myung-won, secretariat executives, and presidents from various cities and counties.

Participants visited key security sites on Yeonpyeong Island, the frontline of the West Sea, and personally experienced the importance of national security.

The training consisted of field trips to security sites and special lectures on peace and security.

Participants toured facilities of historical significance, such as the Security Education Center, Peace Park, and the site where the late Sergeant Seo Jeong-woo sacrificed his life, reflecting on the practical meaning of security.
