국민의힘 이동환 고양시장 후보가 어르신들의 복지와 건강을 최우선으로 챙기기 위한 민생 밀착 행보에 박차를 가했다.

이동환 후보는 22일 일산노인복지회관을 방문해 시설 관계자 및 지역 어르신들과 직접 만나 현장의 목소리를 듣고 정책 방향을 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

이번 방문은 현장의 실태를 생생하게 파악하고, 노인 인구 증가에 발맞춘 실질적인 지원책을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.

이날 이 후보는 복지회관 내 시설을 둘러보며 식사 지원 체계, 건강관리 인프라, 돌봄 서비스 현황 등을 면밀히 살폈다. 

아울러 어르신들의 삶의 질과 직결되는 여가 및 교육 프로그램의 운영 상황을 청취하고 개선점에 대해 의견을 나눴다.

이 후보는 이 자리에서 “어르신들이 건강하고 안정적인 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 복지와 의료, 돌봄, 여가 지원을 획기적으로 강화하겠다”며 정책 반영을 약속했다. 

이어 현장 유권자들을 향해 “이번 선거에서 기호 2번 이동환을 선택해 주시면 고양시를 어르신들이 가장 살기 좋은 도시로 만들겠다”며 지지를 호소했다.

캠프 관계자는 “이번 방문은 어르신들의 생활 현장을 직접 살피고 현장의 목소리를 정책에 고스란히 담아내기 위한 ‘민생 밀착형 표밭갈이’의 일환”이라며, 앞으로도 시민들의 삶 구석구석을 챙기는 행보를 이어갈 것이라고 밝혔다.
