고양특례시와 KB국민은행이 협력해 운영하는 사회복지시설 ‘고양시-KB국민은행 배움누리’가 청소년들의 학업 스트레스 해소와 문화 감수성 향상을 위한 특별한 체험 프로그램을 마련했다.

배움누리는 지난 16일 시설 이용 청소년들을 대상으로 ‘반지 공방 체험’ 프로그램을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 프로그램은 반복되는 학업과 일상 속에서 지친 청소년들이 건전한 여가 활동을 통해 정서적 안정을 찾고, 직접 작품을 완성하는 경험을 통해 자기 효능감과 성취감을 느낄 수 있도록 기획됐다.

이날 청소년들은 배움누리 인근 전문 공방을 찾아 전문가의 지도를 받으며 자신만의 반지를 직접 제작했다. 

참여 학생들은 딱딱한 은 조각을 망치로 두드리고 표면을 세심하게 다듬는 과정을 거쳐 세상에 하나뿐인 반지를 완성했다.

특히 단순히 결과물을 받아보는 체험이 아니라 재료를 직접 가공하고 형태를 만들어가는 수공예 활동 중심으로 진행되면서, 청소년들은 자연스럽게 학업 스트레스를 해소하고 집중과 몰입의 시간을 가졌다.

프로그램에 참여한 한 학생은 “딱딱했던 은 조각이 망치질을 거쳐 점점 반지 모양으로 변해가는 과정이 정말 신기하고 즐거웠다”며 “그동안 쌓였던 스트레스가 풀리는 기분이었고, 정성을 들여 만든 결과물을 보니 큰 성취감이 생겼다”고 소감을 전했다.

배움누리 관계자는 “이번 체험이 청소년들에게 정서적 안정과 문화적 감수성을 동시에 채울 수 있는 의미 있는 시간이 되었기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 아이들의 눈높이와 욕구를 반영한 다양한 문화·예술 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴하고 운영해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
