고양특례시 덕양구도서관센터가 지난 16일 신원도서관과 조관공원 일대에서 봄날의 야외 독서 축제를 열어 지역 주민들의 호응을 얻었다.

'도서관 옆 조관공원 – 어쩌다 마주친 책'이라는 이름으로 마련된 이날 행사는 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 진행됐다. 

유아·아동을 둔 가족이 주요 대상이었으며, 영어 그림책 육아를 주제로 한 저자 강연을 비롯해 영어 뮤지컬 공연, 독서 필사 체험, 야외도서관 운영, 팝업북 전시 등 나들이 삼아 즐길 수 있는 프로그램이 골고루 갖춰졌다.

눈길을 끈 것은 지역 출판사 '밝은미래'와 독립서점 '이랑'이 함께 꾸린 플리마켓이었으며 책과 관련된 물건들을 직접 골라보는 재미에 시민들의 발길이 이어졌고 경기도 전역 독서문화지도 제작에 참여하는 QR 이벤트와 꽃차 시음 코너, '천권으로' 앱 독서포인트 적립 행사도 함께 운영돼 방문객의 만족감을 더했다.
