국민의힘 이동환 고양시장 후보가 선거운동 기간 시민들의 삶의 현장을 직접 찾아가는 ‘현장 중심 행보’를 이어가며 민생 챙기기에 집중하고 있다.

이 후보는 19일 오전 10시, 소규모 제조업체와 창고가 밀집한 고양시 덕이동 일대를 방문해 지역 현안을 점검하고 주민 및 사업자들과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.

덕이동 일대는 약 150여 동 규모의 창고와 공장 건물이 밀집한 지역으로, 최근 화재 사고가 발생하는 등 안전 문제와 생활환경 개선 요구가 지속적으로 제기돼 온 곳이다.

이날 현장을 찾은 이 후보는 화재 취약 원료를 취급하는 사업장의 안전관리 실태를 직접 살펴보는 한편, 현장 업주와 근로자들을 만나 경영상의 어려움과 각종 생활·환경 민원에 대한 의견을 청취했다.
