파주시가 농업인의 소득 안정을 지원하고 농촌의 공익적 기능을 강화하기 위한 ‘2026년 기본형 공익직불금’ 신청 접수를 오는 5월 31일까지 진행한다.

기본형 공익직불제는 농업·농촌이 갖는 환경 보전과 식량안보, 지역사회 유지 등 다양한 공익적 기능을 증진하고 농업인의 안정적인 영농 활동을 지원하기 위해 시행되는 제도다. 

일정 자격요건을 충족하고 법정 준수사항을 성실히 이행한 농업인과 농업법인을 대상으로 직불금이 지급된다.

신청을 희망하는 농업인은 농지 소재지 관할 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문해 접수하면 된다. 

특히 신청 대상 농지가 여러 지역에 분산돼 있는 경우에는 전체 농지 가운데 면적이 가장 넓은 지역의 행정복지센터를 방문해 일괄 신청해야 한다.

파주시는 신청 마감 이후 본격적인 자격 검증과 준수사항 이행 여부 점검에 나설 계획이다. 

오는 6월 중 신청자에게 등록증이 발급되며, 이후 하반기까지 자격요건 검증과 이행 점검이 진행된다. 

최종 직불금은 오는 12월 중 지급될 예정이다.

남명우 파주시 농업정책과장은 “이번 기본형 공익직불금이 장기적인 경기 침체와 경영비 상승으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농가에 실질적인 도움이 되기를 기대한다”라며 “신청 마감일인 5월 31일 이후에는 추가 접수가 불가능한 만큼 대상 농업인들께서는 반드시 기한 내 신청해 불이익을 받지 않길 바란다”고 말했다.
