고양특례시가 고물가와 고유가로 인한 시민들의 경제적 부담을 덜기 위해 오는 5월 18일부터 ‘2차 고유가 피해지원금’ 지급에 나선다.

 이번 지원은 당초 8월로 예정됐던 추가경정예산 편성을 앞당겨 추진하는 것으로, 민생 안정을 위한 선제적 대응 차원에서 마련됐다.

시는 이번 2차 지원 사업에 총 920억 원 규모의 예산을 투입해 취약계층과 소득 하위 70% 시민까지 지원 대상을 확대한다. 

원활한 지급을 위해 744억 원 규모의 예산을 제2회 추가경정예산에 우선 편성했으며, 전체 사업비 가운데 약 92억 원은 시비로 직접 부담해 재정 투입 의지를 보였다.

지원 대상은 기존 1차 지원금 수령 대상이었던 기초생활수급자와 차상위계층 등 약 5만 명을 포함해 소득 하위 70% 시민까지 확대된다.

 1차 지원 당시 신청하지 못한 취약계층도 이번 2차 신청을 통해 지원받을 수 있다.

고양시는 신청 초기 혼잡을 줄이기 위해 5월 18일부터 22일까지 출생연도 끝자리에 따른 ‘요일제’를 운영한다. 

18일은 출생연도 끝자리 1·6, 19일은 2·7, 20일은 3·8, 21일은 4·9, 22일은 5·0 대상자가 신청할 수 있다. 

이후 5월 26일부터는 출생연도와 관계없이 누구나 신청 가능하다.

신청은 관내 44개 동 행정복지센터 전담 창구 방문 또는 온라인 접수를 통해 가능하다. 

특히 선불카드 수령을 희망하는 시민은 방문 전 반드시 지급 대상 여부를 확인해야 불필요한 대기와 헛걸음을 줄일 수 있다.

시는 현장 혼잡 완화와 대기시간 단축을 위해 온라인 신청을 적극 권장하고 있다. 

카드사 및 지역화폐 공식 애플리케이션과 누리집을 통해 간편하게 신청할 수 있으며, 최근 지원금을 사칭한 스미싱 문자 피해가 늘고 있는 만큼 시민들의 각별한 주의도 당부했다.
