파주시가 야당동 소리천로 일대에서 반복적으로 발생하는 주정차 과태료 이의신청과 의견진술 사례를 줄이기 위해 ‘탄력적 주정차 허용구간’에 대한 홍보와 현장 안내를 한층 강화한다.

야당동 일대는 야당역을 중심으로 대형 상업시설과 음식점, 카페 등이 밀집해 있어 유동인구와 차량 통행량이 꾸준히 증가하는 지역이다.

특히 주차 공간 부족 문제가 지속적으로 제기되면서 시민 불편이 이어져 왔다.

이에 파주시는 교통 흐름과 안전을 저해하지 않는 범위 내에서 시민 편의를 높이기 위해 파주경찰서 교통안전 심의를 거쳐 일부 구간을 탄력적 주정차 허용구간으로 지정해 운영하고 있다.
