고양소방서가 봄철 산불 위험이 높아지는 가운데 지역의 대표 문화유산인 행주산성 보호를 위한 현장 점검과 예방 활동에 나섰다.

고양소방서는 지난 8일 봄철 산불조심기간을 맞아 행주산성 일대에서 산불취약지역 현지 점검과 산불 예방 캠페인을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 활동은 최근 건조한 날씨와 강풍이 이어지면서 대형 산불 발생 위험이 커진 상황에서 시민들의 경각심을 높이고 초기 대응 체계를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 현장 점검에 나선 박기완 서장은 행주산성 내부와 주변 산림 지역을 직접 둘러보며 산불 발생 시 신속한 대응이 가능하도록 주요 시설과 위험 요소를 집중 점검했다. 

소방용수시설의 공급 상태와 정상 작동 여부를 확인하고, 소방 차량의 신속한 진입을 위한 이동 동선을 살피는 한편 산림 내 인화 물질과 화재 취약 지점에 대한 예찰 활동도 병행했다.

또한 행주산성 관리사무소 관계자들과 만나 민·관 협업 체계 구축 방안을 논의하며 화재 발생 시 신속한 상황 전파와 초기 대응의 중요성을 강조했다.

같은 날 고양소방서 의용소방대원들은 행주산성을 찾은 시민과 등산객들을 대상으로 산불 예방 캠페인도 진행했다. 

대원들은 산림과 인접 지역에서 라이터와 버너 등 화기 사용 금지, 담배꽁초 무단 투기 금지, 논·밭두렁 및 영농부산물 소각 금지 등 산불 예방 수칙을 집중 홍보하며 시민들의 적극적인 참여를 당부했다.

박기완 서장은 “봄철은 작은 불씨 하나가 강풍을 타고 대형 산불로 확산될 수 있는 매우 위험한 시기”라며 “지속적인 현장 점검과 예방 활동을 통해 시민의 생명과 재산은 물론 우리의 소중한 문화유산인 행주산성을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
