파주지역 산림조합이 어린이날·어버이날이 이어지는 5월을 맞아 소외된 이웃을 위한 온정 나누기에 동참했다.

파주시산림조합은 4일 파주시장애인종합복지관을 방문, 100만 원 상당의 선물박스를 복지관 측에 건넸으며 해당 물품은 복지관의 사례 관리를 통해 지원이 절실한 장애인 세대에 순차적으로 전해질 계획이다.

조합 관계자는 장애를 가진 주민과 그 가족이 따뜻한 관심 속에 5월을 보낼 수 있도록 돕기 위해 이번 행사를 준비했다고 밝혔다. 

파주시산림조합은 지역 밀착형 협동조합으로서 매년 다양한 복지·환경 분야의 공헌 활동을 펼치고 있으며, 앞으로도 주민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 상생 프로그램을 확대해 나갈 방침이다.

전진옥 조합장은 "가정의 달을 맞아 지역 이웃들에게 작은 정성을 전할 수 있어 뜻깊게 생각한다"며 "앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하며 지속적인 나눔 활동을 이어가겠다"고 말했다.
