경기 파주시가 지역 예술인들의 안정적인 창작 활동을 지원하기 위한 ‘2026년 예술인 기회소득’ 사업을 본격 추진한다. 

시는 오는 5월 11일부터 6월 19일까지 약 한 달간 집중 신청 기간을 운영하고, 예술인의 사회적 가치에 대한 정당한 보상을 통해 지속 가능한 창작 생태계 조성에 나선다는 계획이다.

이번 사업은 예술인이 창출하는 문화적·사회적 가치를 인정하고 이를 경제적으로 뒷받침함으로써 창작 기반을 보호하는 데 목적이 있다. 

동시에 시민들에게 보다 다양한 문화예술 향유 기회를 제공해 지역 문화 수준을 높이겠다는 취지도 담겼다.

지원 대상은 2026년 5월 11일 기준 파주시에 주민등록을 둔 19세 이상 예술인으로, 한국예술인복지재단이 발급한 ‘예술활동증명’을 유효하게 보유하고 있어야 한다. 

또한 개인 소득 인정액이 기준중위소득 120% 이하인 경우에 한해 신청할 수 있으며, 1인 가구 기준 월 소득 307만7086원 이하가 해당된다.

다만 동일 연도에 문화체육관광부의 ‘예술활동준비금’이나 ‘케이-아트(K-ART) 청년 창작자 지원금’을 지원받은 경우에는 중복 수혜를 방지하기 위해 이번 사업 대상에서 제외된다.

지원 금액은 1인당 연간 최대 150만 원이며, 예산 범위 내에서 두 차례에 걸쳐 분할 지급될 예정이다. 

신청은 온라인과 오프라인 모두 가능하다. 

온라인 접수는 경기민원24 누리집을 통해 진행되며, 오프라인의 경우 주소지 관할 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문하면 된다.

유초자 파주시 문화예술과장은 “예술은 도시의 품격을 높이고 시민의 삶을 풍요롭게 만드는 중요한 자산”이라며 “이번 기회소득이 지역 예술인들의 창작 의지를 북돋고 안정적인 환경에서 활동을 이어갈 수 있는 기반이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
