한국농어촌공사 고양지사가 지역 농업의 근간을 강화하고 미래 지향적 영농 환경을 조성하기 위해 ‘농업생산기반정비사업’ 신규지구 발굴에 본격 착수했다.

이번 회의에서는 단순한 기반시설 정비를 넘어 기후변화 대응과 스마트 농업 기반 구축을 핵심 과제로 설정하고, 신규지구 선정을 위한 객관적 기준 마련과 우선순위 검토, 국비 및 지방비 확보 방안, 농업용수 공급 안정화와 배수 개선, 농로 확충 등 지역 맞춤형 정비 방안이 집중 논의됐다. 

고양지사는 관내 농업 인프라 확충이 시급한 지역을 중심으로 후보지를 면밀히 조사하는 한편, 지자체와의 협력 체계를 강화해 농민들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적 환경 개선을 추진할 계획이다. 

김이부 지사장은 “농업생산기반정비사업은 시설 개선을 넘어 농업인의 소득 안정과 직결되는 중요한 사업”이라며 “철저한 사전 검토와 체계적인 계획으로 농업 경쟁력을 한 단계 끌어올리겠다”고 밝혔다. 

향후 고양지사는 전략회의 결과를 토대로 후보지에 대한 세부 타당성 조사를 진행하고, 확정된 신규지구가 정부 사업에 반영될 수 있도록 행정력을 집중할 방침이다.
