파주소방서가 대형 산불에 대비한 실전형 대응 역량을 한층 끌어올렸다.

파주소방서는 지난 24일 오후 파주시 적성면 설마리 일대에서 경기 북부 지역 최초로 최대 규모의 유관기관이 참여한 ‘대형산불 대비 유관기관 합동 소방훈련’을 성공적으로 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 훈련은 최근 봄철 건조한 날씨와 강풍으로 산불 위험이 높아지는 상황에서 실제 재난 발생 시 기관 간 협조 체계를 점검하고 현장 대응력을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 

특히 기존의 형식적인 시나리오를 벗어나 예고 없이 상황이 주어지는 ‘무각본 실전형 훈련’으로 진행돼 현장 긴장감을 높였다.

훈련에는 파주소방서를 비롯해 파주시·김포시·고양시 산림재난대응단, 파주경찰서, 제25보병사단 등 총 5개 기관이 참여했다. 

각 기관은 가상의 산불 확산 상황에 맞춰 신속하게 대응하며 화재 확산 경로를 차단하고 효율적인 진화 지점을 확보하는 데 집중했다.

이번 훈련에서 가장 주목받은 부분은 ‘통합 드론 운용 방식’의 도입이다. 

소방과 군, 민간 산불전문의용소방대가 보유한 드론을 동시에 투입해 화재 현장을 입체적으로 분석하는 방식으로, 실시간으로 잔불 위치를 파악하고 이를 지휘부에 전달해 즉각적인 전술 수립이 가능하도록 했다. 

또한 수집된 정보는 참여 기관 간에 실시간으로 공유되며 대응 공백을 최소화하는 데 기여했다.

훈련 종료 후에는 각 기관이 수행한 진화 활동에 대한 상호 피드백이 이어졌다. 이를 통해 현장 대응 과정에서의 문제점을 점검하고 개선 방향을 도출하는 등 실질적인 대응 능력 향상에 초점을 맞췄다. 

특히 파주시뿐 아니라 김포시와 고양시 산림재난대응단이 함께 참여함으로써 광역 단위 협력 체계를 강화했다는 평가를 받았다.
