국민의힘 고양시(갑) 당원협의회가 7일 덕양구청 대강당에서 당원 600여 명이 참석한 가운데 신년회 및 당원연수를 개최했다.

최근 보기 드물게 많은 당원이 모인 이번 행사는 고양 지역 보수 진영의 결집력을 보여주는 자리로 평가됐다.

권순영 고양시(갑) 당협위원장은 인사말에서 "당원이 주인 되는 정당, 현장의 목소리를 정책으로 연결하는 조직을 만들어가겠다"며 향후 당협 운영 방향을 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 장동혁 당 대표, 송언석 원내대표, 정희용 사무총장, 김선교 경기도당 위원장의 영상 축사가 상영됐다. 

조용술 고양시(을) 당협위원장, 정문식 고양시(정) 당협위원장, 강현석 전 고양시장도 현장에서 축사를 통해 지역 내 협력의 중요성을 강조했다.

당원연수에서는 김은혜 국회의원이 '그들이 말하지 않은 것들'을 주제로 정치·사회 현안에 대한 특강을 진행했다.

이어 원유철 당 상임고문은 '경기도가 여는 유라시아의 큰 길'을 주제로 경기 지역의 전략적 가치와 미래 비전을 제시했다.

특히 이번 행사는 10대부터 70대까지 각 세대를 대표하는 7명의 패널이 참여해 현장 의견을 직접 전달하는 참여형 프로그램을 운영했다. 

권 위원장의 일문일답 형식 영상 메시지도 상영되며 당원과의 소통 의지를 나타냈다.

행사 관계자는 "형식적인 결의에 그치지 않고 당원들의 다양한 목소리를 직접 듣는 구조로 기획했다"며 "2026년 지방선거를 앞두고 조직을 재정비하는 출발점이 됐다는 점에서 의미가 있다"고 말했다.

The People Power Party's Goyang City (Gap) Member Council held its New Year's Party and Member Training on the 7th in the Deokyang District Office auditorium, with approximately 600 members in attendance.

This event, which drew an unusually large number of members, was seen as a demonstration of the unity of the conservative camp in the Goyang region.

In his opening remarks, Kwon Soon-young, Chairman of the Goyang City (Gap) Member Council, stated, "We will create a party where party members take control and an organization that connects voices from the field to policy." He outlined the future direction of the council.

The event featured congratulatory video addresses from Party Chairman Jang Dong-hyeok, Floor Leader Song Eon-seok, Secretary General Jeong Hee-yong, and Gyeonggi Provincial Chapter Chairman Kim Seon-gyo.

Goyang City (B) Party Coordinator Cho Yong-sul, Goyang City (Gyeonggi) Party Coordinator Jeong Moon-sik, and former Goyang City Mayor Kang Hyun-seok also delivered congratulatory remarks on-site, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation.

At the party member training session, National Assembly Member Kim Eun-hye delivered a special lecture on current political and social issues under the theme "What They Don't Talk About."

Following this, Standing Advisor Won Yoo-chul presented the strategic value and future vision of the Gyeonggi region under the theme "Gyeonggi Province Opens a Great Eurasian Road."

Notably, the event featured an interactive program where seven panelists representing various generations, from teenagers to those in their seventies, shared their opinions directly.

Chairman Kwon's Q&A video message was also shown, demonstrating his commitment to communicating with party members.

An event official stated, "We planned this event to go beyond a formal resolution and directly listen to the diverse voices of party members. It is significant in that it serves as a starting point for organizational restructuring ahead of the 2026 local elections."
