파주시 운정1동 지역사회보장협의체가 설 명절을 앞두고 복지 사각지대에 놓인 취약계층을 위한 따뜻한 나눔 활동을 펼쳤다.

운정1동 지역사회보장협의체는 지난 3일 홀몸 어르신 등 겨울철 한파에 취약한 이웃 30가구를 대상으로 방한용품 꾸러미를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 나눔 활동은 설 명절을 맞아 특별히 마련됐으며, 지역 곳곳에서 후원받은 방한용품으로 꾸러미를 구성해 직접 가정을 방문하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

운정1동 지역사회보장협의체는 평소에도 '디딤돌 나눔상자' 활동을 통해 매월 백미, 라면, 생필품 등 기탁받은 후원 물품을 취약계층에 전달하는 등 지속적인 나눔 활동을 이어오고 있다.

강순자 운정1동 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 "추운 날씨에도 따뜻한 나눔 활동에 참여해 주신 위원들께 감사드린다"며 "이번 설 명절 나눔이 관심과 지원이 필요한 이웃들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

조동준 운정1동장은 "협의체 위원들의 따뜻한 마음과 헌신에 감사드린다"며 "앞으로도 민관이 함께 협력해 복지 사각지대를 해소하고 모두가 행복한 운정1동을 만들어 가겠다"고 밝혔다.

한편, 운정1동 지역사회보장협의체는 지난 1월 17명의 위원으로 구성된 제6기 협의체를 출범했으며, 복지 사각지대 발굴과 지역자원 연계 등 민관 협력의 구심점 역할을 지속해 나갈 계획이다.
