파주시가 올해 평생학습 정책의 방향성을 제시하고 시민 참여를 독려하기 위한 대규모 설명회를 개최했다.

파주시는 지난 30일 시청 대회의실에서 평생학습 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 '2026년 파주시 평생학습 사업설명회'를 열고, 올해 평생학습 정책 방향과 주요 공모사업 추진계획을 공유했다고 밝혔다.

이날 설명회에서는 2026년 파주시 평생학습 정책 추진 방향과 평생학습도시 운영 전략을 비롯해 주요 평생학습 공모사업의 내용과 신청 절차가 안내됐다.

파주시는 올해 시민의 다양한 학습 수요를 반영한 생애 주기별 평생학습 정책을 강화하고, 생활권 중심의 학습 환경 조성을 통해 시민 누구나 일상 속에서 배움에 참여할 수 있는 기반을 확대할 계획이다.

특히 대학과의 협력을 기반으로 지역 맞춤형 평생교육 사업을 적극 추진한다.

시민이 가까운 생활권에서 수준 높은 대학 강의를 들을 수 있는 '일생일대 프로젝트'를 기존 5개 읍면동에서 8개 읍면동 평생학습센터로 확대 운영한다.

또한 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(라이즈) 사업을 통해 대학의 교육·연구 역량을 지역 평생교육과 연계, 지역 수요에 부합하는 맞춤형 학습 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.

올해 추진되는 평생학습 공모사업은 총 2억 7,000만 원 규모로, ▲성인 문해교육 ▲시민제안 우수프로그램 ▲중장년 행복센터 운영 ▲시민교육 활성화 ▲장애인 평생교육 ▲경계선 지능인 평생교육 ▲찾아가는 파주시민 강좌 ▲평생학습 축제 등 다양한 분야를 포괄한다.

파주시는 이번 사업설명회를 통해 공모사업에 대한 이해도를 높이고 시민과 기관의 적극적인 참여를 유도함으로써 평생학습 정책의 현장 실행력을 강화한다는 방침이다.

공모사업 신청은 오는 2월 5일까지 지방보조금관리시스템(보탬이) 또는 전자우편 등을 통해 가능하다.

최희진 평생교육과장은 "파주시는 시민의 삶 전반을 아우르는 생애 주기별 평생학습 정책을 통해 누구나 일상 속에서 배움에 참여할 수 있는 환경을 만들어가고 있다"며 "앞으로도 지역 특성과 시민 수요를 반영한 평생학습 정책을 지속적으로 추진해 시민 중심의 평생학습도시로서 경쟁력을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다"고 말했다.

This year's lifelong learning contest, valued at a total of KRW 270 million, covers a wide range of areas, including: adult literacy education, excellent citizen-proposed programs, operation of a middle-aged and older adult happiness center, revitalization of civic education, lifelong education for people with disabilities, lifelong education for people with borderline intelligence, on-site lectures for Paju citizens, and a lifelong learning festival.

Paju City aims to use this project briefing to increase understanding of the contest and encourage active participation from citizens and organizations, thereby strengthening the implementation of its lifelong learning policies.

Applications for the contest are accepted through the Local Subsidy Management System (Boteumi) or by email until February 5.
