고양특례시가 어르신들의 노후 소득 보장을 강화하기 위해 2026년 기초연금 선정기준액을 대폭 인상한다고 28일 밝혔다.

올해 기초연금 선정기준액은 단독가구 기준 월 247만원, 부부가구 기준 월 395만 2,000원으로 결정됐다. 

이는 지난해 대비 19만원(단독가구 기준, 8.3%) 상향 조정된 수치다.

기초연금 선정기준액은 65세 이상 노인 중 수급자가 70% 수준이 되도록 설정하는 기준선으로, 올해는 노인가구의 전반적인 소득 및 재산 수준 상승을 반영해 조정됐다.

이번 기준액 인상으로 지난해 소득인정액 초과로 수급에서 제외됐던 어르신들도 올해는 신규 수급이 가능할 것으로 전망된다.

아울러 매달 지급되는 기초연금(기준연금액)도 물가상승률 2.1%를 반영해 전년 대비 7,190원 인상된 월 34만 9,700원으로 조정됐다.

시 관계자는 "기초연금 선정기준액이 대폭 상향된 만큼, 수급 가능한 어르신들이 빠짐없이 혜택을 받으실 수 있도록 적극적으로 홍보하고 안내하겠다"고 말했다.

기초연금 신청은 주소지 관할 읍면동 행정복지센터나 전국 국민연금공단 지사를 방문하여 신청할 수 있다. 

거동이 불편하거나 방문이 어려운 경우 복지로를 통한 온라인 신청도 상시 접수 중이다.
