2026년부터 기초연금 선정기준액이 상향 조정되면서 파주시 관내 65세 이상 어르신 가운데 기초연금 수급 대상자가 크게 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.

보건복지부가 최근 발표한 2026년 기초연금 선정기준액은 단독가구 기준 월 소득 247만 원, 부부가구 기준 월 소득 364만 8천 원으로 책정됐다.

선정기준액 완화로 그동안 소득 인정액 초과로 기초연금을 받지 못했던 일부 어르신들도 새롭게 수급 자격을 얻게 될 전망이다. 

2025년 12월 기준 파주시 노인인구는 약 9만 280명으로 전체 인구의 17%를 차지하고 있으며, 현재 기초연금 수급자는 약 6만 1,430명이다.

이번 기준액 인상으로 더 많은 어르신이 제도 혜택을 받을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
