파주시 중앙도서관은 지난 6일 ‘2025 파주시 작은도서관 대회(패스 페스타·PASS FESTA)’를 성황리에 개최했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 한 해 동안 파주시 작은도서관이 이뤄낸 다양한 성과를 시민과 공유하고, 운영자들의 노고를 격려하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 작은도서관 운영자와 시민 등 800여 명이 참석해 ▲작은도서관 유공자 표창 ▲이야기 공연(토크 콘서트) ▲지역 강사와 함께하는 체험활동 ▲홍보 부스 운영 ▲책 나눔 행사 ▲작은 공연 등 다채로운 프로그램에 참여했다.

행사장을 찾은 한 시민은 “우리 마을에도 작은도서관이 있는지 몰랐는데 꼭 한 번 이용해 보고 싶다”며 관심을 보였고, 또 다른 시민은 “작지만 따뜻한 마음이 담긴 도서관”이라며 “앞으로도 오래도록 운영되길 바란다”고 전했다.

최병갑 파주시 부시장은 “작은도서관 운영자 여러분의 헌신이 파주의 품격을 만드는 큰 힘”이라며 “작은도서관이 시민들에게 가장 가까운 배움과 문화의 공간으로 자리잡을 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
