경기 파주시가 시민들과의 공동 감시 활동과 경찰의 집중 단속으로 성매매 근절에 박차를 가하고 있다.

파주시는 최근 ‘야간 올빼미 활동’을 시민들과 함께 쉬지 않고 펼치고 있으며, 경기북부경찰청도 지난 4일부터 경찰 인력을 야간에서 주간까지 확대 배치하여 민관경(民·官·警)이 성매수자 유입을 적극 차단하고 있다고 밝혔다.
