국제라이온스 354-H지구 5지역 2지대가 12월 1일 초림주말농장에서 김장 나눔봉사를 펼쳐 지역사회에 따뜻한 온기를 전했다.

이날 봉사에는 5지역 최금옥 위원장(부총재)을 비롯해 2지대 박미자 위원장, 고양송포라이온스클럽 임형성 회장, 고양송죽라이온스클럽 정소희 회장, 엘리오라이온스클럽 손창용 회장과 각 클럽 임원 및 회원들이 대거 참석했다.

영하의 추운 날씨에도 불구하고 이웃사랑을 실천하기 위해 한자리에 모인 회원들은 이른 아침부터 손에 손을 맞잡고 김장 담그기에 열과 성의를 다했다.

이번 김장봉사를 통해 담근 김치는 가좌동 복지센터, 장애인 보호센터를 비롯해 각 지역 클럽에서 선정한 취약계층 가정에 전달될 예정이다. 

경제적 어려움으로 김장을 준비하기 힘든 이웃들에게 겨울나기의 든든한 반찬이 되어줄 것으로 기대된다.

특히 고양시의회 3선 의원을 지낸 고양송포라이온스클럽 임형성 회장은 "해마다 김장봉사를 해왔지만, 라이온스클럽 회장 소속으로 함께 나누는 봉사는 더욱 특별한 의미가 있다"며 "이러한 활동이 지역사회에 따뜻한 마음과 연대감을 높이는 데 중요한 역할을 하며, 행정기관과 취약계층에 조금이나마 힘이 되었으면 하는 바람"이라고 소회를 밝혔다.

On December 1st, Lions International District 354-H, Area 5, Zone 2, held a kimchi-making volunteer service at Chorim Weekend Farm, bringing warmth to the community.

The volunteer service was attended by District 5 Chairperson (Vice Governor) Choi Geum-ok, Zone 2 Chairperson Park Mi-ja, Goyang Songpo Lions Club President Lim Hyeong-seong, Goyang Songjuk Lions Club President Jeong So-hee, Elio Lions Club President Son Chang-yong, and numerous club officers and members.

Despite the sub-zero temperatures, members gathered early in the morning to practice love for their neighbors and worked tirelessly to make kimchi.
