겨울철 기온이 떨어지면서 난방기 사용이 증가하자 화재 발생 위험도 함께 높아지고 있다.

노유자시설은 거동이 불편한 이용자가 많아 화재 발생 시 초기 대피에 어려움을 겪는다. 

전기장판 과열, 난방기 주변 가연물 적치, 노후 전선 사용 등 일상적인 위험요인이 대형사고로 이어질 가능성이 높다.

파주소방서 관계자는 "난방기구는 반드시 인증 제품을 사용하고, 손상된 전선이나 접힌 전기장판은 즉시 교체해야 한다"며 "시설 관계자들은 비상구 확보와 피난유도등 점검 등 기본 안전관리를 평소에 반드시 점검해야 한다"고 강조했다.
