파주시의회는 20일부터 제260회 파주시의회 제2차 정례회를 개회하고 12월 18일까지 총 29일간의 의사일정에 돌입했다.

이번 정례회에서는 2026년도 본예산 및 기금운용계획안과 2025년도 제4회 추가경정예산안을 비롯해 조례안, 동의안 등 총 31개 안건을 처리할 계획이다.

주요 일정으로는 24일부터 25일까지 각 상임위원회별로 조례안 등 일반 안건 심의가 진행된다. 

이어 27일부터 12월 5일까지는 2026년도 본예산 및 기금운용계획안 예비심사가 실시되며, 8일에 열리는 제2차 본회의에서는 상임위원회별 일반안건을 심의·의결할 예정이다.

또한, 9일부터 예산결산특별위원회(예결특위)가 열려 2026년도 본예산 및 기금운용계획안과 2025년도 제4회 추가경정예산안을 종합 심의하고 예산편성의 당위성을 집중적으로 검토하며 최종 안건은 12월 18일 제3차 본회의에서 의결될 예정이다.

박대성 의장은 “이번 정례회에서 심의 예정인 2026년도 예산안은 지역경제 회복과 장기적 성장 전략을 동시에 담아, 파주시의 미래를 설계하는 중대한 안건인 만큼 그 필요성과 우선순위를 면밀히 살펴주시기를 당부한다”고 전했으며 또한 “회기 중 논의되는 건설적 대안들이 시민의 삶을 더욱 나아지게 하는 마중물이 되도록 최선을 부탁한다”고 밝혔다.
