고양특례시 삼송도서관이 연말을 맞아 독서문화프로그램 쉽게 배우는 자본론을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

강연은 원숭이도 이해하는 자본론으로 알려진 임승수 작가가 맡는다.

임 작가는 최근 오십에 읽는 자본론을 출간했으며 살아갈수록 자본론의 의미가 선명해진다고 설명했다.

BBC가 선정한 역사상 가장 중요한 철학자로 꼽히는 마르크스의 고전 자본론을 읽는 일이 현대 사회를 이해하는 데 여전히 유효하다는 판단이다.

이번 프로그램은 12월 3일과 10일 저녁 7시 30분부터 9시 30분까지 총 2회 진행된다.

임승수 작가는 1강에서 자본주의 빈부 격차의 원인을 설명하고 2강에서는 인공지능 시대 자본주의의 미래를 주제로 강연을 이어간다.

삼송도서관 관계자는 한 해를 마무리하며 고전의 가치를 되새기고 지금의 사회 체제를 인문학적으로 성찰하는 시간이 될 것이라고 밝혔으며 또한 자본론의 대중화에 힘써온 임승수 작가를 초청한 만큼 고전 읽기의 심리적 장벽을 낮추는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다고 말했다.
