고양특례시 이동환 시장은 12일 고양시청 재난상황실에서 간부회의를 열고, 다가오는 겨울철 폭설과 한파에 대비한 동절기 시민안전 종합대책을 논의했다.

 이날 회의에서는 부서별 준비 상황을 공유하고 대응 체계 강화 방안이 집중 점검됐다.

이 시장은 회의에서 “매년 제설의 중요성을 강조하고 준비하지만, 실제 강설 상황에서는 신속하고 완벽하게 대응하기 어렵다”며 “어느 시간대에 눈이 내려도 즉시 대응할 수 있도록 제설 장비를 점검하고 매뉴얼과 비상연락체계를 재정비해 달라”고 주문했다.

특히 “올여름 기록적인 폭우와 폭염을 겪은 만큼, 이번 겨울에도 기록적인 폭설에 대비해야 한다”며 “작년 제설 현장에서 미흡했던 부분은 개선하고 다각적·세심한 준비를 해달라”고 강조했다.

이 밖에도 그는 “빅데이터를 활용한 1대1 체납자 맞춤형 독려 시스템과 고양종합운동장의 공연장 활용을 통한 세입 창출 사례는 제한된 재원을 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 새로운 모델”이라며 “공공자산을 점검하고 세입 창출 방안을 적극적으로 모색해 달라”고 주문했다.

이날 회의에서는 전통시장 화재 대비, 취약계층 보호, 복지시설 안전 점검, 한파 대비 상하수도 종합대책, 도로 제설 대책 등 분야별 동절기 시민안전 대책 보고가 이어졌다. 이 시장은 “시민 안전을 최우선으로 하고 불편을 최소화해 달라”고 당부했다.
