파주소방서가 가을 단풍철을 맞아 파주 관내 주요 명소를 찾는 방문객의 산악사고 예방과 신속한 구조 활동을 위해 총력 대응에 나선다.

특히 파주시 적성면에 위치한 감악산은 출렁다리, 운계폭포, 법륜사 등 주요 명소가 밀집되어 연중 등산객이 많이 찾는 파주의 대표 관광지다. 

늦가을부터 겨울철까지는 큰 일교차와 폭설에 의한 고립 위험으로 산악사고 예방이 더욱 중요해지는 시기다.

파주소방서는 그간 ▲산악안전지킴이 운영 ▲산악위치표지판 및 간이구조구급함 정비 ▲산악사고 예방을 위한 교육·홍보활동 ▲산악사고 긴급구조역량 강화 ▲유관기관 협업을 통한 산악사고 예방 강화 등의 대책을 추진해왔다.

더 안전한 산행을 위해 실효성 있는 대책도 함께 추진한다. 

주요 대책으로는 ▲QR코드 안내판 설치를 통한 현 위치 확인 및 신고 방법 안내 ▲주요 등산로 3곳에 축광 리본 70개 설치 ▲이정표가 부족한 구간에 파주시청과 협력하여 이정표 추가 설치 ▲훼손된 산악 위험 표지판 정비 ▲의용소방대와의 공조 구조 활동 강화 등이 있다.

김명찬 파주소방서장은 "감악산은 파주를 대표하는 관광명소인 만큼, 시민과 관광객의 안전 확보에 만전을 기하겠다"며 "산행 전 따뜻한 복장을 준비하고, 조난 시 신속히 119에 신고해주길 바란다"고 당부했다.
