고양특례시가 오는 16일 일요일 개최되는 '2025 손기정평화마라톤대회'에 따른 주요 도로 교통통제와 관련해 시민들의 적극적인 협조를 당부했다.

광복 80주년 정부 기념사업으로 열리는 이번 대회는 손기정기념재단과 스포티비뉴스가 주최하고, 문화체육관광부와 고양특례시 등이 후원한다. 

"광복은 자유다"라는 슬로건 아래 풀코스, 하프코스, 10km 종목에 총 2만여 명의 참가자가 차량 없는 제2자유로를 달리게 된다.

대회 당일인 16일, 고양종합운동장 일대와 법곳IC 구간, 제2자유로 일부 구간의 교통이 통제된다. 

특히 제2자유로 파주 방면은 시작점인 구룡사거리부터 법곳IC까지 모든 IC의 차량 진입이 전면 통제되어 우회도로 이용이 필수적이다. 

교통통제 시간은 오전 7시부터 오후 3시까지 약 8시간 동안 이어진다.

고양시는 현수막, 입간판, 포스터는 물론 주요 간선도로의 도로전광판을 통해 교통통제 사실을 적극 알리며 시민들의 주의와 협조를 구하고 있다.

시 관계자는 "손기정 평화마라톤대회 개최로 인해 고양시 주요도로 이용에 제약이 발생하는 만큼, 당일 오전 해당 구간을 이용하는 시민들께서는 교통통제에 적극적인 협조와 양해를 부탁드린다"고 밝혔다.

Goyang Special City has requested citizens' active cooperation regarding traffic control measures on major roads for the "2025 Son Kee-chung Peace Marathon," to be held on Sunday, the 16th.
